After reading the new book Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (started a few days before the rest of the world, thanks to my connections to someone on the inside of the bookstore - that someone being me, since I currently work in one – yes, that's right, I knew that nothing of interest happened until chapter 3 a few whole DAYS before the rest of you fools!) I was inspired to go back to the start of J.K Rowling's superb fantasy series and read them all through again, in lieu of the secrets the new book revealed, and to search for clues to the new questions it raised.

Then, like a lazy high school student studying for an English test, I thought ‘fuck that', and just decided to watch the movies instead. So here's a few thoughts I've cobbled together. Keep in mind this would be at least the third time I've seen each one of these, so if there's not a whole heap of excitement in my writing tone it probably means that it's hard to get passionate about something so familiar to me, and also probably means that I'm a real crap bad writer.
